LUTEINomega3 Dietary supplement consisting of a rational association of lutein, omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (DHA + EPA), vitamins, zinc and copper. Indicated in the case of increased need or decreased intake with the diet of the nutrients that compose it. It may be particularly useful in preventing damage to the macula and other sensitive ocular structures. Also useful where protection of the vascular and neural component of the eye is required.
Lutein
It helps to increase the sensitivity to contrast and improve, in many cases, the visual function and decrease the phenomena of photophobia and glare. Due to its peculiar antioxidant activity, the substance has been found to be useful in protecting the macula from age-related degeneration, both in the atrophic and exudative form.
Omega-3 fatty acids
They are so-called “essential” substances & rdquor; since the organism is unable to produce them. At the ocular level they accumulate selectively and electively within the retinal tissue. Omega-3 fatty acids and in particular docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), are the main components of the phospholipid fraction of the cell membranes of retinal photoreceptors and determine a greater response to the light stimulus. Omega-3s help to preserve the integrity of the retinal structure and have been described as substances capable of playing an important role in the preservation of vision, thanks also to their vasoprotective, neuroprotective effect and a positive influence on the biochemical processes of phototransduction. Recent studies have also shown that an increased intake of Omega-3 fatty acids with the diet is associated with a decreased risk of onset of Macular Degeneration and that the Omega-3 / Lutein / Antioxidants combination as an adjuvant in the prevention of retinal diseases , it is rational.
Vitamin E, Vitamin C
They are among the most powerful antioxidants available to the body, safeguarding the integrity of tissues and physiological functional reactions. In synergy with Lutein they bind and eliminate free radicals which are the main culprits for the decline of many delicate tissues, following damage to the membranes of their cells. They help to reduce the risk of pathologies of the arterial vessels (retina, heart, etc.) and help to safeguard the metabolic integrity of the ocular tissues.
Zinc and Copper
They are essential minerals for human health and recent studies have shown that even the intake of these elements, associated with antioxidants, significantly decreases the risk of impaired visual function resulting from age-related macular degeneration.
It does not contain gluten.
